Stephan Detjen (*1965, Germany) is head of the Department of Current Culture, Deutschlandradio Kultur in Berlin. He studied law as well as modern and ancient history in Munich, Aix-en-Provence/ France and Speyer. He has been a qualified lawyer since  1995. He worked as a journalist at the news editorial office of Bayrischer Rundfunk Munich, from 1997-1999 he was the correspondent for Deutschlandradio at the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe. From 1999 to 2004 Detjen was parliamentary correspondent, and from 2001 deputy director of the capital city studio of Deutschlandfunk and Deutschlandradio Berlin.
