Anne Querrien (*1945, France), sociologist and urban planner, has been involved in several field research projects bringing together municipalities and artists in different ways, and has published the results of these experiments in Les Annales de la Recherche Urbaine. In recent years she has directly participated in a field-research project on disused railway land in a very deprived neighbourhood of Paris, which led to local people participating in gardening projects and taking part in meetings with artists from France and other European countries. Based on the situations she has encountered Anne Querrien's own research is aimed at using public spaces as a meeting place and for sharing diversity. Anne Querrien is also involved on a voluntary basis with the journals Multitudes and Chimères.
